It was the first time that I went, the third Friday, near Garfield on Penn Avenue. I’m just amazed. I worked there five years ago when walking those streets at night was unheard of and dangerous. Now there’s everybody walking around, eating, laughing, listening to music – like, live music on the streets.

I’m a sous chef at a great restaurant in the area. The food industry is becoming such a big thing in the city. I mean, it’s a place of employment, but our restaurant group specifically employs so many guys out of a half-way house. I’ve met multiple friends that way. They’re all employees or past employees.
