My life changed when I moved from Tampa to Pittsburgh, December 31st, 1999. I moved here to take care of my disabled son at Children’s Hospital and Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children. He passed away, unfortunately, seven years ago. But he was very well cared for here. His name was Brian.

Pittsburgh provided him with resources that weren’t available where he was born. It allowed him to have a more versatile, functional life. Pittsburgh is the place where I definitely grew up. Living here allowed not only for him to have all the resources that he needed, but it provided resources for me as well, as far as education, housing, and job opportunities. So, I would say that that definition of “most livable city” fits, along with the beauty of the city as well.
