“The biggest change for me is getting out of that office space, getting out of that cube for a while and starting to live a life where I see the bigger picture.”

I was working in a cubicle in an office environment. I thought that’s what I wanted to do because I had a degree in information technology. The problem was, day in, day out, I was going to work tired. I wasn’t very enthusiastic. I wasn’t able to be outside and felt there was more to life than just turning in reports and emails for my boss. I also felt underappreciated because they seemed to look at more of the negative aspects than the positive ones. Once the Port Authority buses changed their routes, I had trouble commuting and I wasn’t able to do it anymore.

So, I left that job and started pursuing change. One is working with the Street Team outside, helping volunteers and working with people to make a meaningful difference in the city. Being out there and communicating. Another avenue I’m pursuing is using my IT and computer skills to work from home and to create income through the virtual economy. The biggest change for me is getting out of that office space, getting out of that cube for a while and starting to live a life where I see the bigger picture.
