“I literally was dead on the floor. I woke up to one of my friends asking what they were going to do with my body.”
I had died and no one saved me. When I had died I seen a light and I believe that was God telling me that I have a second chance. I literally was dead on the floor. Nobody narcanned me. I woke up to one of my friends asking what they were going to do with my body. I laid there for ten minutes, blue, and they didn’t know what they were going to do. And I just came back.
My life started to change when I came to jail. I’m 34. Been an addict for 20 years. I gave it to my higher power to become drug and alcohol free. I’ve been clean for 5 months. I’m going to a program once I leave incarceration and going to start a new life. I have a sponsor. He is very good. We were friends before I came clean, so when I was in addiction he was still supporting me. He’s given me faith and let me know that it’s okay to change, because I was scared. I had fear and anxiety until I prayed and asked God to take all that from me.
