“I’ve instilled that into my sons. Always treat people the way that you want to be treated.”

The two most meaningful events for me was when my sons were born. My son Michael just graduated from Pitt Johnstown and wants to be a high school social studies teacher. My youngest son Andrew is a sophomore at Temple University in Philadelphia. When they were born I grew up. Not that I was immature, but I became a more responsible person. Not taking life for granted any more, now I had two other people to be responsible for.

What was brought upon me by my father was to treat other people like you wanted to be treated. I’ve instilled that into my sons. Always treat people the way that you want to be treated. Working in the jail for 34 years now, that’s what I’ve always done.
