Two years ago I lost my job. So many things had changed in the process of looking for a job that it was intimidating to learn about what I needed to do to make that happen. Mostly because of my age, people thought that it wouldn’t be possible, but I always believed that it would. It was the blessings of friends and family around me, the counseling that I got, that led me to a position in my field. Now I have met a lot of wonderful people and hopefully doing great things for them. I prayed a lot about this because I knew that God would guide me and at the right time, I would find that right position.
A neighbor gave me a book that I read every day. It was about people who had adversities and how they rised above those adversities. It helped me get through. Every day I would pray, “I know that You will guide me at the time that it’s right.” And God did, and it was just in the time that I needed it.
