“We got the puppy three weeks before we had to put the cat down. There’s joy after tragedy.”
Recently I had to put my dog down, and not long before that I had to put my cat down. But I also have a puppy, so that keeps me motivated. Makes me realize life goes on. My dog was old and sick. He had cancer. My cat had kidney failure. Our dog was getting old, so we actually got the puppy in order to help us get over having the dog put down. But then the cat got sick shortly after our other dog had to be put down. We got the puppy three weeks before we had to put the cat down. There’s joy after tragedy. It definitely doesn’t replace what I had, but I still have joy.
