“We moved to downtown Pittsburgh in 2013. It made our carbon footprint smaller. Now Monday through Friday, I don’t drive.

It’s a different kind of community, but it’s still very much a community.”

We moved into downtown Pittsburgh and that’s been a great experience for my family. I walk to work and my daughter goes to CAPA. My middle son goes to Pitt, so he’s close by. We love the community downtown and being able to go to the shows and the Arts Festival and the restaurants.

We used to live out in distant suburbs, and so an opportunity to be close and not have get in the car every day is really nice to avoid the commute and spend more time with family or even at work. It made our carbon footprint smaller. Now, Monday through Friday I don’t drive. We’ve become really good friends with neighbors in the building, instead of on the street. It’s a different kind of community, but it’s still very much a community.
